Every public school in Minnesota received a printed copy of Engaging Students in the Arts in April 2004. The document is intended for any educator—generalist, specialist, or teaching artist—who uses the arts in his or her classroom. It is of particular value to those who teach in and through the arts, including:

• literary arts/creative writing
• media arts (photography/film)
• music
• theater, and/or
• visual arts
